I wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you to everyone who has recently become a fan of my Facebook page, those who have spread my name through word of mouth, and those who have chosen to allow me the pleasure to help them plan their vacation. I do this job not because I need to, and not because it's a job, but because I absolutely love Disney, and I am happy to share my experience and knowledge with my clients. For those of you who have recently become fans, you might be skeptical about using a travel agent, now that we live in a "do-it-yourself" age that has been made quite simple through Disney's websites. So, let me tell you a little bit about what I offer my clients who book with me:
1. My knowledge and experience - I am a recent graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and I have been to Walt Disney World an estimated 25-30 times and I've been on a Disney Cruise once (and have already booked my second)!
2. Insider information - Whether it is a result of my experience or a result of my connections, I have learned which buildings are some of the best to request at the hotels, and which staterooms are closer to the action or on a quieter floor of the Disney Cruise ships.
3. Advanced dining reservations & Shore Excursions - If you are like me, you like to enjoy great food and new experiences while you are on vacation. You have the ability to book dining reservations and shore excursions in advance of your trip. Because I know which restaurants and experiences fill up most quickly, I will make sure I am making those reservations for you as soon as they are open.
4. Discount monitoring - If you are like some of my recent clients, you may have booked your trip more than a year in advance, perhaps so that you can set up a payment plan to pay for the trip. "But, what about discounts that might come out three months from now that apply to my trip?" I keep a list of all my clients' vacations and I watch for those discounts. I then call Disney to get them applied as soon as they come out so that you don't have to worry about spending any of your souvenir budget on unnecessary vacation expenses.
5. Full itinerary planning - For those who are new to traveling Disney or those who are not a particular fan of the crowds, I offer full itinerary planning that includes information about which are the best and worst parks to attend each day, where there are parades and fireworks, and the locations that are guaranteed to fill your little one's autograph book.
6. Advice, tips, and tricks - Because I have traveled to Disney so many times, I have gathered my own "to do" and "not to do" lists throughout the years. I am happy to share this information with my clients so they are not losing out on any precious time or money during their trip.
7. Flight reservations - I am a full-service travel agent who is happy to help my clients make all of the transportation arrangements they need to get from home to the Happiest Place on Earth and back again.
8. A little something to make your trip extra magical - As a thank you, I offer my clients a little extra pixie dust to make their trip more magical. My promotions and gifts do change throughout the year, but I always want my clients to know that I appreciate their business because I know that you don't need to use me to plan your vacation.
Quite frankly, I can't get you anything that you can't get yourself. I don't know about any discounts before the general public does, in most cases. I can't get you any special rates just because you book with me. The benefits to using Fairytale Journeys by Katie lie primarily in my passion and experience for all things Disney, the fact that I will happily wait on hold with Disney listening to "Hi ho, Hi ho, It's Off To Work We Go" for up to an hour or more just to make your reservations for you, and the fact that you don't have to worry about whether or not you are getting the best deal. I make sure everything is taken care of from the primary planning stages all the way through the end of your vacation. So, why not start the relaxation of your vacation from day one?
